Evaluation for Camhs Services
15th March 10am-12noon @ St Chads (Home for Parents In Power)
Sarah Ward who works for Action for Children is an evaluation officer who is currently undertaking a three year evaluation of the tier 3 community CAMHS service across Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside.
A key aim of the evaluation is to involve children, young peo...ple, parents and carers involved with the service over the three year period to see what is working well, what needs to be improved and whether the service is meeting the expectations of those involved.
Sarah has asked if we could arrange an informal meeting between herself and our parents/carers whose children are currently involved with Gateshead CAMHS to let you know what this is all about and how you can be involved and what commitment is needed on your behalf. Parents in Power are of course willing to support you throughout this very important evaluation. This is so important in light of the changes that are currently taking place.
If this applies to you and you want to know more please respond to this event and let us know. We MUST know before hand whether you are coming or not.
Reasonable Travelling Costs will be met. Anyone needs Taxi this MUST be booked through ourselves. And the meeting will be followed by a light buffet lunch.
Getting Better Together PCT Consultation
8th March 10am-12noon@ St Chads (Home of Parents In Power)
Maddy Nettleship is coming along to talk to us about the above consultation and the concern that Unison have around the proposed changes. For example, if your child was admitted into A & E and is dealt with in a couple of hours, fine ok. However if needs to be in hospital... longer or overnight or a day or two then you may be transferred to Sunderland or with the option of RVI Newcastle. However how real that option is we are unsure. So Please come along to this consultation, learn more and complete their consultation forms. The consultation forms themselves are not long but you need to understand what is happing. We MUST know if you are coming along at least a couple of days before hand.
