MISSION STATEMENT
Our aim is to empower parents to be confident and competent in working side by side with service providers to improve
services for disabled children and their families.
We are small registered charity for parents/carers of a child, young person or adult (up to the age of 25) with additional support needs, learning difficulties or disability.
We support parents/carers by ensuring they have a voice in how services in Gateshead are developed to give the best possible services for disabled children and their families. We do this through active parent participation and ensuring parents have a voice in loca, regional l and national consultations.
We work very closely with our local authority, including Children with Disability Team, Education and many other multi-agency forums and partnerships.
We also work closely with the local Parent Partnership Service (run through Barnardos) and other charities such as our local Carers Centre. This we do to ensure that our parents have a voice in how Gateshead delivers vital services to our families.
